Shopping Ads
Google AdsDefinition
Shopping Ads (Product Listing Ads) are visual Google Ads that display product images, titles, prices, and store names directly in search results. They pull data from a Google Merchant Center feed rather than keywords.
Shopping Ads appear at the top of search results, in the Shopping tab, on YouTube, and across the Display Network. Because they show price and image, they pre-qualify clicks — users who click already know the product and price.
Shopping Ads do not use keywords. Google matches product feed data (titles, descriptions, categories) to user searches. Feed optimization is the single most important factor in Shopping Ads performance.
Upload your product catalog to Google Merchant Center with accurate titles, descriptions, prices, images, and GTINs. Create a Shopping campaign (Standard or Performance Max). Google matches your products to relevant searches based on feed data.
Shopping Ads typically have the highest ROAS of any Google Ads campaign type for e-commerce. They capture high-intent commercial searches with visual product information that pre-qualifies clicks before they cost you money.
